Importance of Heroes

Basic Rundown on Heroes:

High Attack/Intelligence--Best heroes to send when attacking someone; intelligence helps you get medals, attack helps your troops do more damage

High Pol/Attack/Intelligence--Great for mayors, because politics keeps the people happy and raises general production of all resources very substantially. Attack helps when you are under attack in defense. Intelligence helps in making research faster. These heroes can also help a great deal in attacking because high politics brings loyalty of the cities down faster.

If a hero has one high attribute and the rest are extremely low, it would be better for you to wait to get one that is worth your gold.

As you build your city and as you attack things, your heroes get points which can be applied to whatever attribute you feel needs to be higher in the Feasting Hall. You can only have as many heroes as the level of your feasting hall. You recruit heroes through the Inn.

That's all for now. Hope it helps!

Generally Important for Beginners:

When you are building your city, you need to focus on getting certain things done as fast as possible.

You need to have your embassy up to level 5 by the time you are out of bp and then up to level 9 ASAP. This is important because it allows that number of GROUPS to garrison at your city to reinforce you when you are under attack.

Which brings me to another point. For those of you who have not checked the little box in embassy which allows garrison of troops, your host is about to lose her sanity, so please just check the box or we won't be able to help you.

Another thing along those lines. If you are being attacked and you want us to help you, make sure that you have teleported to Franconia. If you have not, we will not be able to help you. There is one exception to this and that is if you have already talked to me about it, as is the case with SirJohn.

When you are researching, try to get informatics and archery up as far as you can as fast as you can.

Archers are the most important military group that you have. You need to make as many archers and scouts as you can. Scouts will allow you to kill people who try to scout you, if you have more than them and your gates are open, and it will allow you to get more information. Archers do more overall damage than any other group.

Archers towers are the most important wall fortification. You don't need any of the others if you have a lot of archers towers. But, you must have the corresponding number of archers to go in those towers for them to be effective, otherwise they are worthless.

Along with informatics and scouts, you need to get your beacon tower leveled all the way up to 9 as fast as possible. Try to keep it one level ahead of or at least the same level as your informatics. It allows you to get a better report when you scout someone.

Just to note, you open your gate in your rally spot. But only do that if you are absolutely positive you can take the person attacking you otherwise they will kill all of your military and take more resources than if your gates were closed.

So, to reiterate, every city should have:
10 Barracks
10 Cottages
1 of everything else

There is no reason for you to have more than 10 cottages unless you are making an archer's city.

That is all that I can think of on this topic at the moment, but I may add more later.

Thanks!

I would also suggest that you build a relief station as fast as you can. It cuts the time to reinforce and transport between cities in half with every 2 upgrades.

ATTACKING

So someone asked me to give you an idea of who you are allowed to attack and who you are not.

Before you attack someone, you need to go to the alliance icon and then to alliance list and type in the name of the alliance the person you plan to attack is in. If they are in one of the top 50 alliances, do not attack them without Beachballz, cmode, or my consent.

Under the alliance icon you can also see who we are decidedly neutral with and friendly with. There are some others that we are mutually neutral with but they fall under the top 50 alliance category so I don't feel the need to be redundant.

Any questions, mail me on evony!

Thanks!

Mayhem Situation

So obviously we have had a huge problem with the alliance Mayhem. They attacked the Brave Sir Robin repeatedly before telling him that he must teleport out of their region and then attacking some more. This was a few days after their host negotiated neutrality with me. Obviously I was extremely irritated by this. We got the situation worked out even though that meant that the oh so brave Brave Sir Robin had to give up one of his cities. We have given their members that are in Franconia until tomorrow morning to be out of Franconia and if they are not, you have every right to attack them SO LONG AS THEY ARE IN FRANCONIA. These are the terms of our agreement with them as of now, they are fully aware of these parameters and if they violate them, we will be at war sooner rather than later. I say this because war with them is coming, and we all need to be as ready as possible. Especially those of us within a 30 mile radius. I am right next to the border, so if you have my coords you will know about where you are in relation to these people.

Build up your fortifications as much as possible while building your military. If you have to choose between the two, choose the one you can make more of in the least time. These people are not honest, they are not nice, and they are not at all trustworthy. They may be a small alliance, but most of you are still small players so you need to build now more than ever. If you are far away from the battleground, you need to create more military to reinforce people who are in the frontlines.

So far it looks like these are the players who will take the brunt of the attacks when we do go to war:

-The Brave Sir Robin
-Katirie (me)
-Minahalfmoon
-Poopaholic
-Mars432
-Crickneck

And more possibly to be added later.

Any questions. Ask.
